We are happy to welcome you to our home! Indiana is a great place to live or visit, and we are delighted to share it with you. Whether you are spending time with friends or family, or working away from home, we hope your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

This manual includes check-in information, amenities, house rules, and recommendations. Please reference it if you have any questions during your stay. We strive to offer a 5-star experience to our guests. If anything is not up to your standards, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address and fix the issues.

Check-In

Check-in time is 4PM unless early check-in has already been discussed and agreed upon.

When arriving at 532 Garfield Street, you will find a house with gray siding and a long skinny driveway leading up to it. Simply park your vehicle in the driveway, and ensure you do not hit the blue well pipe in the middle.

An electronic Yale lock is installed on the door, so you do not need keys during your stay. To use the Yale deadbolt door lock, first press the Yale button on the top of the lock to light the keypad. Then type in the code we sent you, and the door will automatically unlock.

House Rules

Being mindful of our house rules is appreciated and expected. We hope you love our space and will help us take care of it.

  • Furniture: If we have to move furniture back to its original position after your stay, we will charge $50 per hour. Please move furniture back before your departure.
  • Smoking/Vaping: No smoking or vaping inside the home. Outside is okay as long as you clean up after yourself and keep smoke and vapors more than 10 feet from open doorways or windows. Smoking fees start at $500, plus the cost of cleaning and odor removal.
  • Parties: Absolutely no parties allowed in the home.
  • Quiet Hours: Quiet time is between 10PM and 8AM to respect neighbors and the area. No loud music or shouting after this time.

Parking

There is room for two cars to park in the driveway front to back. When parking, avoid hitting the blue well pipe by centering it under your vehicle so your wheels are on each side.

Sleeping

The property accommodates 6 guests total with the following sleeping arrangements:

  • Queen bed in the master bedroom
  • Queen pullout sleeper sofa in the living room (linens located in the master bedroom closet)
  • Futon near the dining room
  • Queen bed in the second bedroom

Coffee

A standard drip coffee maker is available. We provide generic coffee flavors along with standard cream, sugar, and filters. If you prefer something specific, we recommend picking it up beforehand.

Garbage

Please dispose of food and drinks in the trash and close the bag. Our cleaners will dispose of the trash bags. For longer stays, you can bring trash out to the garbage bins on the other side of the fence in the backyard.

TV & Stereo

The property has Roku setup on the TV for all your streaming needs. Follow the prompts on the screen to login with Roku and access all major streaming services. The stereo should be synced with the TV and work with the Roku remote. If they are not synced, use the individual remotes (located on the top shelf) to set the TV to HDMI 2 and the stereo to HDMI 1.

Pellet Stove

The pellet stove is a great way to add extra heat during cold months. Pellets can be purchased at hardware stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. Before operating the stove, read the directions on the inside of the lid or scan the QR code to watch instructional videos.

Washing Machine & Dryer

Complimentary in-house laundry is available so you can have a clean set of clothes before departure. Detergent and dryer sheets are provided. Please clean out any lint from the dryer after use, as too much buildup can be a fire hazard.

Mail & Packages

We advise against having deliveries sent to the property due to the variable nature of delivery services. We cannot guarantee the safe and timely delivery of packages, as we are unable to monitor the property at all times.

For a more secure option, we recommend using the local post office's general delivery option. They are equipped to receive and store packages until your convenient pickup. Please provide clear instructions to delivery personnel if you choose this option.

Please be aware that packages or mail delivered outside your reservation dates likely will not reach you.

Items Left Behind

If you leave personal items behind at the property, we are happy to assist in their retrieval and shipment to you. Please be advised that there will be a shipping cost and payment for our time involved before we can ship the items.
